A Family Affair.

How

I take a journalistic approach to photographing families. I let the children lead and allow their personalities to reveal themselves over the course of our time together. They can play or read, or run or... whatever they do naturally really. I go with the flow and endeavour to make everyone relaxed and at ease. I feel this creates a lovely authentic view of your life as a family, at a certain moment in time. It enables me to capture visuals that are full of vitality and honesty. The final images are a window into your unique world, and it is a privilege to be invited in.

Where

I find natural light and a relaxed atmosphere to be a winning combination, enabling a fun-filled narrative to evolve effortlessly. I can come to you or agree to meet at an outdoor location - we will have discussed and planned beforehand.

I endeavour to ensure that I take images with at least two different settings (wherever we are) in order to provide some variety in your final edit. For babies this would usually be two settings within the home - we’ll find some lovely window light.

Weather and location dependant, I will also give some advice on what to wear and what to bring to get the best out of the shoot.

What

Whilst I don't have a set list or strict number of images to deliver, I do ensure everyone is captured, along with some whole family shots.

Half of my work is in the editing - which I do with a dash of creativity, shot by shot, in a combination of colour and black & white (which are purposeful creative/ visual choices).

Finally I present to you a carefully curated set of images to treasure. These are delivered in digital format to print and share with loved ones as you wish.

Cost

Starting at £250

(Larger families may require more time - we can discuss!)
